Hello Guys!
Sorry for being out for such a long tym but guess whats new?
A brand new Deathly Hallows clip debuted live on Sunday 9 PM EST [i.e. Monday 6.30 AM IST] on MTV International and VH1.

The clip is a new trailer or any short clip of any scene from the film. The clip will be most probably online regularly delted from you tube's website due to copyright violations thatz why I am unable to post the same though it was there some days ago.
The new footage shows Voldemort awaiting for Harry in Forbidden Forest, Gringotts Dragon, Harry and Ginny kiss in Hogwarts Corridor, Harry and Ron fighting, Ron saying "You have no family" to Harry and loads of other stuff.

Also, HBP has been nominated for 5 awards in different categories, including Best Villain for Tom Felton for portraying Draco Malfoy.

Do you know that which Indian Home Video Distributor has the rights to sell Harry Potter Movies in India?
Most of you will obviously say "SaReGaMa Home Video" but, let me tell you all that you all are wrong.
The correct answer is BIG Home Video. It has bought the rights from WB by putting a higher bid than SaReGaMa. So enjoy yaar. May be this time Harry Potter will get a recognition in Home Video since it looks like that BIG is not going stand a back in publicizing its Home Video Titles that SaReGaMa used to do earlier and there is also a chance that we could even get Bonus Features in Hindi as well. Hurray!

Prices have also been reduced by Rs. 100 on each item i.e the VCD's are available at Rs. 99 which were earlier priced at Rs. 199 (which in turn was earlier available at Rs. 299 until the release of OOTP 's Home Video) and the DVD is priced at Rs. 599 reduced from Rs. 699.

So Good Bye SaReGaMa, and Welcome BIG.

So although this time HP movies were not a part of May Movie Magic but they I think POGO felt that some missing this vacations so they are now determined to show all the HP saga once again.

Half-Blood Prince in Hindi for release on 17th July

Even though US/UK release dates for Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince have been moved to 15th July and IMAX release has been delayed for a week, it is now confirmed that Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince is going to release in India on July 17 in English and Hindi [dub].


The movie will also release in Tamil, Telegu and other Indian languages. However, at this time, only Hindi release date is confirmed.



It is good to note that HBP will compete with Hindi movie called "Shortcut" in the box office.

They had just given a great surprise to all the Harry potter fans by, from nowhere, releasing this, presumed to be, the ultimate HBP Trailer. New interviews with Scholastic "Harry Potter" staff

Scholastic has updated its official Harry Potter website with a brand new feature, "Quick Quotes Quill," which features serveral extensive Q&A's with key members of Scholastic's Harry Potter team.

One of those interviewed was David Saylor, creative director of the Harry Potter series.

Did you get to read "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows" before it came out? Was it hard not being able to talk about Harry Potter secrets with friends and family?

I was one of the few people that was allowed to read the book before it came out, because I was working closely with Mary GrandPré and Arthur Levine on concepts for the cover and chapter opening illustrations, so I had to read the book. It was hard not being able to talk about it, but I was really glad I could share thoughts with Arthur and Mary. It was like a little club. One thing I did learn from my years of working on Harry is that I'm great at keeping secrets!

Each book has a different dominant color. How did you decide which color would be good for each book

For most of the books I had a color scheme in mind, based on something that came through in the story. For example, on Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix and Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, there were specific scenes in the book that dictated the color palette that Mary and I wanted to use. Because J. K. Rowling's descriptions are so clear and easily imagined, it wasn't hard to come up with a color scheme. And from the beginning, the palette of the books was based on the “jewel tones” of Mary's artwork: ruby reds, deep amethyst purple, dark sapphires and emeralds.

'Mega Magic Express'

Pogo, a Tuner International Channel under Time Warner (I wrote all this to tell you that Pogo is directly linked to Warner Bros.) is all set to air Harry Potter films (Hindi-dubbed) this Diwali season.
There is a big chance that Order of the Phoenix will be also broadcasted. 'Mega Magic Express' is going to air this mid-October.

Order of the Phoenix on November 16th

Hey guys, it is confirmed that Pogo is going to air Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix (in Hindi dub) on Sunday, November 16th. So now at least there is something to wait for in November.

Pogo is also going to air Sorcerer's Stone, Chamber of Secrets, Prisoner of Azkaban and Goblet of Fire in these 30 days.

WB & Jo sues Kolkata's community

Well, this is a proof of WB and Jo being very protective over Harry. Yesterday, Warner Bros. sued a community based in Kolkata for creating Hogwarts 'look-alike' castle pandal for the upcoming Durga Puja.

For those who don't know, Durga Puja is a festival, celebrated all over India, especially in Bengal.
In this long-running festival, people workship goddess Durga in very attractive temple-like 'pandals'. The community which has summoned at Delhi High Court may have wanted to do something 'different' but, unfortunately- Its all about Loving Harry!

WB wants two million (crore) rupees for permission to present this castle like pandal. This much cost for a pandal is pretty high, anyway.

"We had no clue that we had to seek permission from the author,"

said Santanu Biswas, the head of the community. Best of luck, Mr. Santanu!

The community, obviously don't have enough money to pay fine. The case will start in Delhi High Court on Friday.

UPDATE- The Delhi High Court on Friday refused to restrain a Kolkata-based Durga puja committee from using the statues and images of Harry Potter characters during the nine-day festival. Wow, great news.

DVD trailer and National Awards

The DVD Trailer for Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix has just arrived. Although it contains nothing very special, but it can be seen here--

And a very very cool news. Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix has won 3 out of 6 awards at ITV's National Awards. OOTP has won best family film award, Dan won the Best Male Actor award and Emma won best female actor award. Isn't its great!

Half-Blood Prince Hindi translation released

Half-Blood Prince Hindi translation released

Wait is over and within 2 months of 'Maya Panchchi Ka Samuh', Harry Potter's 6th Book, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince's Hindi translation 'हैरी पॉटर और हाफ - ब्लड प्रिन्स' (i.e. Harry Potter aur Half-Blood Prince) has been released. It is available in your nearest book store for just INR 275. Book is of 570 pages and it is translated by Sudhir Dixit.

One thing to be noted is that the title of 'Half-Blood Prince' hasn't been translated. The word Half-Blood has been same in hindi translations, but Pure-Blood and Mud-Blood are known as 'शुद्ध खून' and 'बदजात' , respectively. Although in movies, term Half-Blood is called 'Milla Jula / मिल जुला ' and words same like 'Half-Blood'. Well I must say people who translated this book are not into innovation.

OOTP DVD to be released on December 11th

OOTP DVD to be released on December 11th

Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix's different DVD versions and HD-DVD/Bluray versions will be going to released on December 11th (long way) in US. It is unclear when these home videos will be going to released in India or even HDDVD/Bluray will be going to released in India or not.

Prices for HDDVD and Bluray are pretty high though, reaching $34 to $40 (INR Rs. 1380 to Rs. 1630, if they release in India).

Price for Two Disc Special Edition (pretty sure) will be around Rs. 699

There will be special features in Two Disc Editon as well as Bluray and HDDVD. Two Disc Editon features are:

10 minutes of never before seen footage."Trailing Tonks" featurette - Spend a day with Actress Nat Tena and receive a very personal and often wacky tour of the Harry Potter and The Order of the Phoenix stages.
